Along the Agly River, the mix of soils gives rise to a mosaïc of “terroirs, composed of  schists, marls, gneiss, granite and limestone. The estate is notable for its multitude of soils: from one parcel to another, the earth changes notably from red to black to white!

The vines are exclusively of highly reputed grape varieties mainly planted on chalky clay soils, on marls and on schistous soils.... They also benefit from exceptional sunshine all year long and from a low rainfall, which ensures our wines are well-balanced with concentration and with a fascinating range of flavours.

The vineyards’ restructuring started in the 70’s, followed by the regrouping of plots as well as the preservation of qualitative old vines. We have now the opportunity to experiment with blends of different vines  and different parcels of lands while meeting appellations regulations.
